TIPS FOR BEING FASTER

GET CAFFEINATED:

I find that caffeine really helps me during training. I've seen several research studies over the last few years have shown that caffeine consumption can make you go faster and recover more quickly.*

Before exercising or competing drink a non-carbonated caffeinated drink - cold is better than hot.

HYDRATE YOURSELF:

I work really hard to keep myself hydrated. Hydration is the key to healthy living. Not only is it essential to your existence, but being adequately hydrated helps your body perform at its full potential.
  • Start hydrating earlier in the day by drinking 1-2 cups of water or a low sugar non-carbonated drink
  • Drink 1-2 cups of fluid 30 minutes prior to exercise
  • Make sure to drink ½-1 cup of fluid every 15 minute of strenuous exercise
SLIM DOWN:

It is common knowledge that losing excess weight has numerous health benefits like - lowering cholesterol and blood pressure. It can also help decrease your risk of diabetes and get rid of general aches and pains.
  • Low Sugar Drinks: Drinking 8-10 glasses of a low (under 8 grams of sugar per serving) or non-sugar liquid everyday will enable your body to metabolize fats far more effectively
  • Exercise: It's extremely difficult to lose weight without exercising. Along with your new diet plan try to exercise 2-3 times a week. Drinking a caffeinated drink before your workout will also help peel you off the couch and get you to the gym
  • Eat 5 Times a Day: Start with a healthy breakfast and eat small portions throughout the day
  • Read the Labels! When shopping for groceries try to look for low sugar/low calorie food or drinks and make sure to avoid any processed foods on your grocery list
